The Hudson Valley Buddhist Vihara will host the Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony of 2025 at the new Temple Location:
204 Plutarch Rd, Highland NY 12528.
The program starts at Saturday, November 1st, 8:30AM and continues until 2:30PM.
- 8:30AM – 9:20AM Arrival of Devotees
- 9:00AM – 10:30AM Dyeing of the Kathina robe: Symbolic dyeing Kathina robe, representing the special offering to the Maha Sangha (monastic community)
- 10:45AM – 11:00AM Offering the Buddha Puja
- 11:00AM – 12:00PM Alms Giving to Maha Sangha (Dana)
- 12:00PM – 12:30PM Kathina Robe Offering and Kathinanisamsa Desana
- 12:30PM – 1:00PM Paritta Chanting Recitation of protective blessings by the monks, invoking peace and well-being for all
- 1:00PM – 2:00PM Lunch for Devotees
- 2:00PM – 2:30PM Cleaning & Tea
