The Beginning of a Dream – Certificate of Donation

A special milestone in the history of Hudson Valley Buddhist Vihara—the presentation of $1,000 donation certificates to the first 16 families who generously contributed toward the dream of building a Buddhist temple in the Hudson Valley.

This marked the beginning of the temple-building journey, when a small group of devoted families came together with faith, generosity, and a shared vision for a permanent home for the Buddha Dhamma and the community.

The program was guided by Venerable Kurunegoda Dhammaloka Thero, Chief Monk of Hudson Valley Buddhist Vihara, and organized under the leadership of President Preethi Atulugama.

These certificates represent more than a financial contribution—they preserve the memory of the first supporters who helped turn a long-held dream into a shared mission.

Sixteen families. One shared dream. The beginning of our journey to build a temple for generations to come.
